Absolute contraindications

⚠️ Untreated pneumothorax:
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy in cases of pneumothorax can lead to tension pneumothorax, posing a life-threatening risk.

 

Precautions

  • Patients with claustrophobia
  • Patients with pacemakers
  • Pregnant women
  • Nasal congestion caused by colds and rhinitis, and ear diseases.
  • Emphysema with carbon dioxide retention
  • epilepsy
  • Viral infection
  • Uncontrollable fever
  • One hour before treatment, try to avoid consuming carbonated beverages such as soda and beer to prevent gastrointestinal discomfort caused by air expansion.
  • Smoking is prohibited two hours before treatment, as it can cause vasoconstriction, affecting the treatment effect and potentially leading to cramps.
